beauty is a word, it means many things. it is sunrise each day and images in the unconscious, in dreams as we sleep. last night it was a saddle, on the table of a yard sale. i was escaping from a very long and complicated dream, i jumped up into the saddle and rode along the edge of the table, as if along a cliff, horseless, happy and alone.

`Ca'n't you?' the Queen said in a pitying tone. `Try again: draw a long breath, and shut your eyes.'
Alice laughed. `There's no use trying,' she said `one ca'n't believe impossible things.'
`I daresay you haven't had much practice,' said the Queen. `When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.
Kelly's been tripping to the 4 corner sacred areas of the Anasazi. the spirits are sharing their realm with him and he's capturing it fantastically on canvas... incredible juxtaposition of realms... this is my favorite so far...
he calls it the pilot video... lots of unfinished stuff, old and new... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqHQwUtTvdo
Music by Delirium - Firefly: (written by Jacqui Hunt) And how I've loved And I have served And I have sinned But I have learnt As Long as you are true to the life that you live It is the time to feel love I feel a stirring deep within Slowly picking up momentum Like the tide coming into shore Over and under in its course This feeling emblazed inside Every nerve like a firefly Hovering above me, glowing Glow, glowing, glowing, divine Every nerve like a firefly Every nerve like a firefly The feeling emblazed inside Every nerve like a firefly I never want to lose, what I have finally found There's a requiem, a new congregation And it's telling me go forward and walk under a brighter sky Every nerve glowing like a firefly Glowing divine Every nerve like a firefly Glow
September has been a good month of fundraisers for FFAA. It started with the annual Pie Festival in Pie Town, lots of fun and a successful fundraiser. Denise and I made lots of artsycraftsy things to sell and we got lots of donations. The kids from the Mojave Academy were there to offer help and kept the dogs happy with lots of walks. A good time was had by all!
i think sticking to the dream daily and not being inneruptd is what art requires unfortunately we are always being inneruptd the artist has to have a strong enough connect to the story that thay dont forget... -Kelly
Three little kittens they lost their mittens, and they began to cry, "Oh mother dear, we sadly fear that we have lost our mittens." "What! Lost your mittens, you naughty kittens! Then you shall have no pie." "Meeow, meeow, meeow, now we shall have no pie." The three little kittens they found their mittens, And they began to cry, "Oh mother dear, see here, see here For we have found our mittens." "Put on your mittens, you silly kittens And you shall have some pie" "Meeow, meeow, meeow, Now let us have some pie." The three little kittens put on their mittens And soon ate up the pie, "Oh mother dear, we greatly fear That we have soiled our mittens." "What! soiled you mittens, you naughty kittens!" Then they began to cry, "Meeow, meeow, meeow" Then they began to sigh. The three little kittens they washed their mittens And hung them out to dry, "Oh mother dear, do you not hear That we have washed our mittens." "What! washed your mittens, you are good kittens." But I smell a rat close by, "Meeow, meeow, meeow" we smell a rat close by...
Well, well, sure took me long enough to name my art studio and start a blog... but finally, today, it presented itself - 3 Little Kittens Studio.
It all started last Thursday when we trapped the first of the ferals. And now we have momma and all 3 kittens. It wasn't without incident, Shane has the bite wounds to prove it, luckily he's on the mend. The kittens are slowly gaining trust, momma is still very timid, they're all safe in my studio.
This is the first kitten - Hot Rod Robspierre aka Robbie (named after Shane's childhood kitten). He was neutered last Thursday; his 2 siblings make their trip to the vet tomorrow. Momma has to wait till her 10-day rabies quarantine period is up.
We planned to TNR (trap-neuter-release) the family, but it's hard not to get attached. We just want the best for them, momma will probably always be feral. Stay tuned for updates.
